Before beginning installation, please thoroughly read and become familiar with these instructions.  Installation must be completed by a qualified installer.  Failure to properly install this product may void the warranty.  Always observe local building codes.

Description:  Universal Metal Industries’ Wall Caps are manufactured with galvanized steel.  The hooded vents are designed with a wire-mesh filter to prevent birds, rodents and trash from entering the ventilation system.  Our unique one-inch offset edge was designed by HVAC and exterior-siding subcontractors to provide a 90-degree finished-edge installation, even with stucco siding.  Wall caps do not have an integral damper as most range hoods are installed with dampers attached.

Installation Details:  Select a mounting location. Prepare cut-out based on the dimensions on reverse side. This unit is designed to be installed prior to the installation of exterior siding.  Position the opening of the Wall Cap down to prevent rain and other objects from entering vent.

Important Cut-out Information:  Cut-outs should be at least 1/8” larger than the above through-wall dimensions.
