Trade-Wind® Introduces Low-Profile, Full-Width, High-Performance Wood Hood Liners
Phoenix, AZ - Tuesday, September 1, 2006
Universal Metal Industries, Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona, Manufacturer of Trade-Wind® brand ventilation products, today announced the expansion of its Standard Wood Hood Liner Series to include several new lo profile, full-width, high-performance models. The new dimensions for these lower-cost Trade-Wind® liners provide increased opportunity for kitchen designers and architects to design around lower front profiles and narrower front-to-back dimensions, without sacrificing ventilation performance.
Trade-Wind® recently introduced the new models on a test-market basis in Phoenix, Arizona, which continues to be one of the country's hottest new home markets. The wider models were well received by builders. One of the nations's most recognized and awarded home builders changed to the new Trade-Wind® low-profile wood-hood liners for all their new high-end homes. The new models are available in 42 & 48-inch widths and deliver a certified 660 to 1,360 CFM. The Home Ventilation Institute, an independent consumer product-testing agency, certifies the performance of all Trade-Wind® brand products. Models are also available for in-line or remote blowers.
"Given the desire of homeowners for more stylized and decorative wood hoods, builders asked that we expand Trade-Wind's lower-cost, low profile line to include full-width, high CFM models," commented Fred Huggins, Executive Vice President of Universal. "We see this as an opportunity to build on the success we have had with our Professional Series, commercial-style, baffle-filter models, which will continue to be available". |
